Summer is here and the high temperatures often become unbearable. Fortunately, Spain is a country with 7905 kilometers of coastline, in addition to its rivers, marshes and reservoirs and, of course, also its artificial pools. Therefore, let’s not despair, because fighting the heat at this time of the year is possible. Just as we already showed you the best beaches in Valencia, this week we bring you the best beaches in Barcelona. For those who do not live in the capital of Spain, but have preferred to live their experience abroad in the second largest city in the country, here are the best beaches where you can take a dip in Barcelona. Let’s go there!

Llevant Beach

This is the last beach of the Barcelona coastline and, therefore, the newest. It has an area for dogs, as well as facilities to practice sports. Another great advantage of this beach is that it has access for people with reduced mobility. And the jewel in the crown of Playa de Llevant, it has reserved parking spaces!

Bogatell Beach

At Bogatell beach you will hardly have time to lie on your towel, because you will want to try all the options it has to offer! This beach has two ping-pong tables, a soccer field, basketball hoop, volleyball court, children’s playground, fitness area, and even wifi! The beach is accessible for people with reduced mobility and also has reserved parking spaces.

Nova Icària Beach

Nova Icària beach is one of the smoke-free beaches in the city of Barcelona. This means that smoking is totally forbidden on this beach. In addition, it is considered, along with Bogatell beach, the quietest in the city. Nova Icària has a special service for people with disabilities. It is a bathing assistance service that aims to facilitate the entry and exit to the water for people with reduced mobility.

Somorrostro Beach

This beach is one of the most emblematic of the city of Barcelona. The most distinctive feature of Somorrostro is its environmental education equipment. It is located in the center of the beach and offers from March to September activities and workshops for all ages dedicated to the promotion of the city’s coastline. This environmental education facility also offers free books, magazines, sports equipment and material for playing in the sand

Sant Miquel Beach

Although it is one of the busiest beaches in the city, we recommend that you visit it, as it is also one of the oldest. Like Nova Icària beach, it is also one of the smoke-free beaches in the city of Barcelona and has access for people with reduced mobility.

We hope this post has helped you when choosing which beach to visit in Barcelona. Remember that in Lodgerin you can find your perfect accommodation in Barcelona for the next academic year
